I love all things dumplings. This place has great xlb because the wrapper is thin, the juice inside is hot and tasty, and the meat is cooked just right. The pan fried dumplings are also great and they have traditional cold dishes as well. All my Chinese relatives love eating here.

You can’t go wrong coming to ding tai fun to eat. They got some yummy dumplings and they have this cold tofu dish that’s so good it almost feels like you are eating meat. They also have onion pancake which is delish!

This is the same place as the one in Markham. Food is excellent, especially if you like Shanghai Cuisine. I’ve been told the it’s not authentic, but whatever I love it! Hot and Sour soup is great, cold jelly fish, fried pork dumplings is a classic Shanghai dish and I like better than Asian Legend. More tasty, less greasy and thinner dough. I haven’t found a bad dish they make. It is my GO TO place for Shanghai food! 5 out of 5!!!!!

The namesake dish is very good; extremely thin skin filled with scalding hot soup and meaty center. The other dishes are not so good. They are subtle in flavour, which would be fine if they didn’t taste under seasoned. Service is brisk.

I was very excited to try this new restaurant..I was craving northern Chinese food for a while..Xiao long bao as I heard from others is a sister restaurant of the all so popular Ding tai fung…So I was very delighted to be able to finally try this local joint!..the xiao lung bao was bursting with soup and flavor…and the pot stickers were equally as good and had a crispy exterior!! All the dim sum was freshly made on the premise..you can take a peek through the open glass window where these yummy dim sum delights are created!! The double fried pork belly was very yummy…noodles with tendon was tender and tasty…I was very satisfied and happy I found a new place to eat Northern Chinese food when I have that sudden craving!! ..Check out Xiao lung bao if you happen to be in the Scarborough area..you won’t be disappointed!!

Xiao Long Bao probably one of my favorite Shanghai Dim Sum.. But I love steamed Chives Dumplings and a lot of other Shanghainese dishes. The menu reminded me of Ding Tai Fung in Markham and Xiao Long Bao is really the sister restaurant of DTF! I am just glad that finally they comes to their senses to open up another branch in Scarborough and have a new name, not trying to pretend to be something else… The interior is really spacious and the tables are set far apart. There are quite a few tables for big groups! We shared: ($5.99) Steamed Pork Soup Dumplings ($5.99) Steamed Chive and Pork Dumplings ($10.99) Fried Shanghai-Style Noodle ($6.50) Double Boiled Chicken Soup Everything was tasty and we really enjoyed the friendly service. The only reason it is not getting a 4 star is maybe the price point to portion. The Shanghai Noodle for $11 was just so small. The portion is half of what I would have get at other restaurants in the area at $9?!I would be back when I have cravings for soup dumplings when I am in the area. I love the Steamed Chive and Pork Dumplings!
