The inside of the restaurant is the standard mid range Asian restaurant. I had high hopes of a good meal. I asked the server what he recommended. He said the Chili chicken was very good, so I decided to try it. The food looked good but it tasted bland, very bland. I was extremely disappointed. I will never eat there again.
I had the Chilli Fish w/ White Rice for $10 (after tax and tip). The meal itself was plentiful. The fish was nice and tender! There may have been a bit too much batter but not a big deal. The flavour was good. I found it had a nice hint of chilli spice but wasn’t too overpowering. I enjoyed this dish and would return for a second go around.
For lunch you can’t beat a $6 lunch special chili chicken on rice, the prices are affordable and the portions are generous for what you pay for. Other dishes I like to get are the Mixed pakoras mixed with their house made chili sauce and the Manchurian chicken.
Hit and Miss, but a Great Value. Value: ExcellentQuality: A real hit and miss as the years have progressed. I have been going to the Rexdale location for too many years. What I am finding is the variance in tastes is becoming more pronounced. For those that don’t frequent often you will not be disappointed, the food is good, plentiful, fresh. For those that frequent often and order the same item you will share my disappointment with the lack of consistency, but you will keep coming back because of the great value and when they get it rights its great.Advice to Management: Consistency!!!!
