This was my first experience trying Somali food and I am addicted! I love this bright flavours especially in the rice. the portions were generous. I had the chicken steak which could have used a litte sauce but it was still good. my friend had the chicken stew which was generously seasoned and perfectly cooked. we will definitely be back

Delicious Food. I tried their Chicken steak which comes with rice and salad. Rice was tasty and chicken steak was pretty delicious also. And for the price of $11, I’d say it’s a rare find.Staff is friendly. Meat is Halal & the sitting area is large (around 50 people) & nice.Moreover, you can take the second item as a side order for $4 less.

Great authentic Somali food if you can handle the heat
I remember when Hamdi restaurant first opened, GRR8 food good service. Just last week went back to eat there, the food was really gross, rice was under cooked & the beef tasted stale & dry, the service sucked. This will be the last time I eat here…
I would say that this restaurant is a decent place to eat, the place is clean and the Somalian food is great. The only con of this place would probably be that the service is not always fast or great. But either than that I would rate this place a 3.5 out of 5.
