Not even a snowstorm could stop me from eating. Truely foodie spirit right there. HK Bistro cafe offers a distinctive style of Cantonese cuisine, it is European food with a Chinese twist which made it so special. The portions are huge so I normally pack my food to go. My favorite is the Portuguese chicken pasta, the chicken are deep fried covered in yellow coconut sauce. I ordered it so often that the owners don’t even bother asking for my order when I walk in. The all day combo special are amazing and you must try their milktea or yun yuong (coffee+milktea) with the combo. You can get the Chinese dessert at the end and it is deep fried milk puddling which taste heavenly.
Hong Kong Bistro is a unique type of dining experience. During colonial time, typical western food such as pastas was made to adapt local Cantonese tastes, so it was pasta with Cantonese influences. It is the best of the both world, and this restaurant offers the best Hong Kong milktea (In Chinatown standard). The portions are large for a cheap price so I normally pack the Portuguese chicken rice and it would last me two meals.
