What a huge disappointment. We should have turned around as soon as we walked in and noticed how dirty the place was kept. The floors look like they have not been cleaned for weeks. Despite initial impressions we decided to stay and order. After one bite we knew it was a mistake to stay. The twice cooked pork was much too salty and the Kung Pao chicken was essentially a plate of peanuts with small bits of chicken with a weird texture. Needless to say we didn’t finish our meal.

Minimal decor. Having a Chinese friend to go over menu helps ans English names don’t always tell the whole story. Ordered a Bud (choices are Canadian, Bud, Coors Light) to drink along with complimentary green tea. Veggie Fried rice – good not earth shattering. Cold noodle – spicy and sweet at the same time. Will order again. Spicy Eggplant – good (but prefer China Cottage’s Hakka Eggplant)Hot and Sour Soup- came last after starting to eat other food. – goodChinese cabbage & garlic. – goodFish and Tofu – excellent. With oily spicy (numbing mala spicy) gravy concoction. Red bean paste pancake for dessert – skinny (best is at Sun’s kitchen in Pacific Mall) but goodDamage $73. Full tummies and happy friends. Take out containers filled the leftovers. Verdict: Will visit again.
Love their signature spicy chicken. I would order that every time I go there. The only problem is that I found the chicken texture is different from time to time. Overall great place for spicy food
