The cashier was friendly and kind. She even offered to heat up my chicken empanada. I really like their pastry but I wish there was more ingredients inside the empanada.

I walked past this place when I was in Kensington and noticed it was packed. I decided to drop by after I saw the line had died down.I ordered a few churros and some empanadas.The churros weren’t made to order but they were relatively fresh. They were a little chewy for my liking but they were still good.I really liked the empanada I ordered. The pastry was flaky and delicious and the filling was moist and perfectly seasoned.The service was really friendly and gracious towards their customers. I thought this place was a total steal because it was really good food for a cheap price.I’ll be back to try their tamales and veal sandwiches.

Absolutely fabulous!. While walking around Kensington yesterday, we went inside Latin Taste. The empanadas hot out of the oven, tamales, spinach pie, alfajores all looked yummy, so even though we were noit hungry, we decided to have a glass of chicha morada (juice of purple corn), and I had a beef empanada. It was so delicious, even better than the ones I make! the dough was a work of art and the beef filling tasty and juicy. I bought two kinds of tamales to bring home and I just ate them for lunch. One was a pork maize tamal (Lima style) and the other was a green (corn) tamal with cheese. They were delicious. I was born in Peru so I should know what’s good and what isn’t when it comes to Peruvian food and these tamales were first class. The icing on the cake was the friendly service by the mother & daughter team. They truly take pride in their cooking and baking and they are so charming that you when you come back you will feel you are visiting friends. I can’t wait to go there again and try their ceviche.
