I came here with extremely high expectations. Everyone I know that’s eaten at Lin Garden raves about their food, so I had to try it. I really enjoyed their Chicken Corn Soup and Chilli Chicken. Portion sizes are an insane value. Dinner time was busy and although the service was a little odd, it wasn’t bad. The owners are extremely kind and seem to have a genuine reputation amongst the Muslim community. I’ve only eaten at a few Hakka Chinese restaurants so I’m excited to try a few more before returning to Lin Garden.
I’ve never in my life tasted food like this I loved it !!! It’s always a place to come when ever I’m on Toronto bring this food to Alberta you will make $$$ id come there all the time
Used to love coming here with my family, it was once one of the rare good asian/hakka restaurants but over the years it’s become terrible. My last visit was definitely my last. The waiter had given us warm water to drink in glasses that were not clean. When we asked for a new set and cold water I saw her take my sister’s glass and dump the water back in a jug and go to serve it to another customer. We had to tell her that my sister had drunk out of it before she could serve it to another table. The service, was terrible, they were indifferent and rude especially when we asked for clean napkins and utensils. The food took almost 50 minuted too come and it was greasy (beyond imagination), a lot of it at room temperature and most of it was just loaded with salt. Not sure if the owner changed, or they just took their customer base for granted but it’s not a place you wanna go eat, not even sanitary. Better of with Fredericks or China Cottage.
This is the worst restaurant ever with regards to customer service and food. I’ve been a long time customer until recently i noticed that the food started to taste strange the past few times that we went here. The food has a chemical taste and the chicken doesn’t taste like chicken, it has a weird taste. We ordered food from here and the restaurant told us to bring it back for them to check, when we did the owner took the food to the back and said it’s fine. I told him to taste the food in front of me, he refused to taste it in front of us and said food is fine. It’s not about the money i didn’t want a refund but the fact that he made us drive all the way back and wouldn’t taste the food or apologize is what was upsetting. We immediately stopped going here because the chicken started tasting different and also tasted like there was chlorine like taste in the food. I have not gone there ever since and never will.
Straight up, I’ve had Lin countless times, for the amount of food you get, it’s super cheap and it’s delicious. The only downside to this food is that it’s very greasy but I mean, if you don’t care about that it’s unreal. Absolutely love this place. My family and I have been ordering from this restaurant for years. I highly recommend the chilli chicken, beef and broccoli, and sweet and sour chicken balls!!
Horrible. Dropped in April 22nd for pick-up. Placed order over the counter. Food was ready in less than 10 minutes which speaks about their dedication and care towards preparation.Food taste was horrendous. Manchurian chicken is not even close to original recipe both with respect to looks and taste. Chicken dumplings tossed in some ready made red sause. Chicken pieces were hard and rubbery. Pretty ordinary and casual culinary skill. Chicken noodle was okay types. Complete waste of money. This is the 3rd time I tried this place, Consistently disappointing !
