As the name say its actually magic noodle, taste service preparation ambience was all good. Its busy place with little wait everytime. As per cost servings are really great.
Loved the food and the place. Always busy so you might have to wait a bit. We had ordered ‘The Magic’ and cuttlefish balls and both were delicious. We had ordered a small serving and that in itself was quite filling. Service is quick and polite. We will be definitely returning to this place!
Wonderful, quick service. Serving size was great for me but the hubby could have eaten more lol! The food was fantastic though! We will definitely be returning to try more dishes!
We went on a Friday night fairly busy. Service was ok and the bowl of noodles come between small and large sizes and it’s only a $1 difference so no point getting small. The amount of actual protein you get per bowl though is very minimal for $10. The handmade noodles were the best part of the dish. Would I recommend? Probably not if they don’t skimp out on the meat.
I was really excited to try this place. Unfortunately, there was nothing magical about their noodles. We got their signature beef noodle and the beef brisket noodle along with some appetizer items. The hand pulled noodles themselves were actually quite good – a firm consistency with the right amount of stretch. However, the broth for the signature noodle was underwhelming and the meats were mostly fatty or only the tendons. The beef brisket broth was much tastier, but the meats were also mostly tendons. The green onion pancakes and leek and egg fried jumbo dumpling were overly oily; I’ve definitely had better. The lamb skewers were probably the highlight, but they cost $2/skewer, which is kind of ridiculous compared to most Chinese restaurants. This place is quite popular, and we had to wait for a table for a weekday lunch. Overall, I wouldn’t put this on top of the to-visit list, but perhaps I need to try more of their items before making a judgement.
Good fresh noodles, however the broth wasn’t very good. And the meat was very tough and not good either. Wasn’t tender and were not good cuts. Broths were over spiced or really salty. For example mine had a very overwhelming clove flavour to it, all I could taste were cloves. If they put a little more time into the rest of the dish it would be a great restaurant. Unfortunately they seem to rush through the rest of the dish and focussed all their attention on the noodles. Lots of room for improvement.
Came here on a Monday afternoon at 1p.m., and man, was the place packed! If we came any earlier, we would have had to wait. We were seated right in front of the open kitchen, so we saw our noodles being handmade and prepared. We also saw the knife cutting in action for the knife-cut noodles! My family ordered the house noodles, which came with an egg, pork chop, beef tripe, lamb, etc. I ordered a lamb hand-pulled noodles, and it was absolutely fantastic. It was delicious, and very fragrant. When I gave my leftovers to my dad, he inhaled it all and even took two large sips of the broth… I guess he liked it very much! In fact, the broth smelled very much like Little Mongolian Sheep, so I was so afraid that it was all MSG. Fortunately, my family and I were not really thirsty after (minimal thirst), so my guess is that there was only a little, if none, MSG.
