Disappointed. I am Salvadoran and I grew up eating authentic pupusas and other stuff.First of all, service is very bad, one of the worst, the same waitress is the same cashier but don’t care that much about service as long as food is good. It wasn’t the case here. After 15 minutes we got the menu waitress came to take our order so we ordered two horchatas (Salvadoran soft drink) as we were two and got only one, after 10 minutes I was able to order the second one, drink was extremely sweet. Ordered Atol de Elote (Corn warm drink) and it tasted like butter! Music was very loud and annoying. Not that I was expecting a five star michellin restaurant but at least please serve good food so my last hope was pupusas. Finally they came, I don’t know what blend of cheese they use but there are way far better pupusas in town (eg tacos el asador) or the ones in the Latin Market on Milvan. The thing about this kind of restaurants they give a very bad impression about my country and food, people who don’t know nothing about food decide to open a restaurant and here we go. I know we don’t have the best ingredients but please do not make others think our cuisine is that bad.Bottom line, if you have never eaten real stuff in El Salvador you might like their food.I do not recommend this place, instead I suggest foodies to find other alternatives.I give it 1/2 star out of five.

It has amazing, authentic food! It’s a must for all who love Latin American home cooked meals! Two thumbs up!
Love the cheese papusas! Reasonable prices, gf is Salvadoran and she loves this place. 9/10
Best Pupusas in Toronto. These are the best pupusas in Canada. In fact, my mother visits from El Salvador and says that the pupusas at Mi Pueblo are better than the ones being made back home. The horchata (cocoa drink) is awesome as well as the corn and chicken tamales. Just recently they started selling pastries from El Salvador. It is authentic tasty Salvadorean food.Regards,
Fantastic! Will go every 6 months. Typical Salvadorian restaurant. Excellent food. Best ever Papusa’s. Service is typical Salvadorian- never rushed, always pleasant. Contrary to the last reviewer this is the typical service. It’s not bad, it is the way they like it in their country and I like the change. My girlfriend dines regularly at mid-scale restaurant and her at some of the best in Toronto. We both feel this is THE BEST Salvadorian restaurant we have been to so far and we have been to almost a half dozen this year alone. Prices are amazing. $2.25 for a Chichiron (Pork Cracklings) Papusa. $3.00 for a chicken breast fajita. Not an item over $10.00 and that is a full fish served to perfection. I’m stretching hard to say something bad but I can’t.
Horrible food and service don’t bother even trying it! Not a clean environment either.
