Hidden Gem!. I was picking up a client to go to lunch and he recommended Panini Pit just off hwy 27 on Carrier drive. I probably would have never found this place on my own as it is in the middle of an industrial area but wow what a find! There was a lineup to the door but it moved fast and within 5 minutes I was seated with my food in front of me. I ordered a veal sandwich with a side salad and my client ordered the house baked foccacia chicken sandwich. The veal was one of the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten at some of the city’s best spots. The owner/chef Dave came to our table to check in on us which was a nice touch. It turns out he is a trained chef that spent time working in Venice Italy at a top hotel. I highly recommend this spot if you are in the area, you and your wallet will not be disappointed!
Great spot!!!!. Had lunch at the Panini Pit for the first time and was very impressed. Had the veal sandwich and it was the best Ive had in a long time, the chef obviously knows what he’s doing as the food is clearly all fresh and homemade. Very friendly atmosphere. I will definitely be going back!!!
Awesome awesome food. the lunch special sandwich are always creative and delicious. the owner dave is a sweetheart and will make whatever you fancy. this pit is a hidden gem come check it out the food is fantastic
Love me some PIT!!!. I’ve been coming to the Panini Pit for years. Chef Dave is an amazing cook and I always leave satisfied. Now with the new ownership, I ‘ve seen some subtle changes with the menu that are quite delish, like the addition of goat cheese to the steak wrap, and the veal sandwiches being even bigger. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for this local gem.
Extremely rude new owner. Previous owners were amazing! I will definitely start buying my meals somewhere else! The meals are served sloppy and the owner has no patience whatsoever! Customer service is the key…..unfortunately the previous owners have moved on. And so have I … So sad…….
