I love this Second Cup store so much that i’ll actually travel down here from an area that has 3 within walking distance. The slow bar is the main attraction, Definitely give the steampunk brewer a try at least once in your life. The coffee bar attendant will be able to reccomend a great coffee for you to try in it. Enjoy the show and enjoy the rich smooth coffee. Also, Milk taps! thoughtsfromtoronto.tumblr.com
I visited this newly renovated Second Cup for a take out order, so I didn’t have time to enjoy their new slow bar.The baristas were really nice and friendly which is always great, especially on a Monday morning. My drinks were well made in pretty cups, and my chocolate almond croissant was also warmed up without me having to ask. This Second Cup is for sure on my good cafes to visit list! Definitely different from the ones you’re used to, and is much more like a hipster independent cafe, not a big chain run one. The milk dispensing tap is a genius idea…Starbucks has some serious competition! allermanger.wordpress.com
I am not a big fan of Second Cup but this location is exceptional for coffee connoisseur to try out the latest technology. This is a new concept of experiencing coffee in a format of a bar. They have a handpicked selection of cool coffee made by steampunk brewer. It was really cool to see the barista handling the machine with its complex levers and buttons, and watching the water boil and steam being released. I had the La Minita Tarrazu, which is a medium roast from Costa Rica.It was my first time to see the oil residue which was preserved from the freshly grounded coffee beans. It is more acidic than the normal coffee I usually have. One of the features of the coffee bar is the wireless charging spot where you can charge your phone wireless as you watch your coffee being prepared. If you are ever in the Entertainment District, this is an experience not to be missed.
I’m not a coffee or tea drinker so on days like today a good streaming cup of hot chocolate is exactly what I need. What I wasn’t expecting when I walked in was the extent to which Second Cup had changed! The new bar, the wireless phone charging stations, the milk and cream dispensing taps, the artistic series of cups, and more I’m sure I haven’t discovered yet.
Wow, Second Cup has really stepped up their game to bring the coffee shop chain into the new millennium. They snagged their new chief executive from Starbucks and it shows. Its modern, clean, open, airy, better coffee, a cool circular bar that you can sit at and watch the barristas make your steampunk or slow brew coffee – they even have these nifty little charging pods for your smart phone – I can’t believe it’s taken this long for someone to figure that one out. Free wifi is lovely but what we really need is to charge our phones over coffee theyumyumfactor.blogspot.com
I love the newly renovated Second Cup on King St great fresh modern feel new pour over coffees. Great new breakfast sandwiches too. And charging ports for the techies. starvingfoodie.blogspot.com
