A great authentic locale with confess-now bright fluorescent lighting, hearty shouting, making no concessions to White Ghosts but in return offering great fresh tasty food once both sides have figured out what you really want. I got the veggies I clamoured for and I think the waitress even graced me with a smile for my persistence.
$6 pitchers of light beer (I believe it’s Amber brewery lager), $7 pitchers of ‘dark’ beer. Dishes aren’t the best in the world, but are perfect for snacking while downing brews.The atmosphere reminds me of a grungy dive bar in china, but when you’re getting a pitcher for less than the cost of a pint at many places, who cares?My personal goto dishes are the lamb skewers, xiao long bao (steamed shanghai style pork buns), and Tianjin gobuli baos. Super cheap (3.99/3.50/3.50) for snacking. The dumplings are cheap for ~$6 for 15, but they’re not homemade.
The best part about this place is the 5 dollar pitchers! Lol but the food it amazing too! I had shredded chicken noodles which were so flavourful, and the most heart warming BBQ rib pork buns! A really great place for cheap and delicious food!
