Only reason why this place even gets 2.5 stars is for the Cajun Fries and Shrimp Basket. Best fries I’ve had in a long time and well cooked shrimp. Ordered two pounds of crayfish and a pound of mussels but was very disappointed with the size of the crayfish. We had exactly 4 good sized ones in the 16-18 that came in the bags. All the weight came from the head/claws which you cant really eat and the tail meat is roughly the size of a quarter. After eating at Hot and Juicy in Seattle, this place gets a solid 1.5 stars for their flavoring and size of the crayfish. WAY TOO MUCH GARLIC, like damn all there was in the sauce was garlic. It was so overwhelming we ordered the Cajun spice for the second pound of crayfish and it tasted the same as captains boil and literally had a full handful of garlic which was also raw. Never going back unless I crave Cajun fries which I would order to go.

Pretty much the same as what Keith wrote below, except that I ended up staying… for what basically amounted to self-service. Basic customer service/communication skills were virtually non-existent. No tip and walked out – 1 star
Not only was the food amazing (I recommend getting all three flavours mixed together), the restaurant had a very warm and fun atmosphere – most enjoyable in a group. I also found the staff to be quite helpful.Admittedly, I wasn’t a fan of the plastic bags, and the wait times can be quite long, but that’s typically the case for any restaurant that’s worth going to.
Love the concept and the price was OK, but was let down by the pre-frozen mussels on the half-shell. Then all the plastic bags. What an environmental dilemma. In the Lower Mainland of BC there is no excuse for mediocre seafood.
Went here for the first time as I was in the city on business and they were right across the street. Very glad I convinced my associates to cave and go. The idea is novel and the seafood was very fresh. I liked the fact that you got to customize what you wanted in your boil and it was a personal amount. Having to break open a crab with bare hands was a bit of a challenge as there are no real utensils to speak of. The server was new but was also very informative for us and her recommend on the spice levels was appreciated (they’re about 1 level higer than you would expect – be warned lol) and we managed to get a great flavour without the spice killing the flavour balance. Definitely a unique dining experience and something to remember.
Food was really good, the service was very informative as I was a first timer. The only thing that was a little disappointing is all the drinks (that don’t come in a can) are served in plastic cups. It brings down the experience not to mention, that is a lot of recycling/waste and I’m not an environmentalist by any means. In fact, seeing all the plastic cups made me appreciate the glassware restaurants normally serve.
