DO NOT EAT HERE.I had the worst Winterlicious experience tonight.To begin I asked about the spiciness of the jerk – which yes I know is typically spicy so I googled it before and a lot of reviews said it could go both ways. So I asked saying that I really don’t like spice but like bbq sauce so if it’s spicy I’ll order something else, just checking in case it is on the lower scale. The waiter said it was a 2 on the 1-10 scale, so I ordered it.An hour after being there we finally got our appetizers. Then a half hour later our meals started to arrive and only 3/5 got their meals. 20 minutes later after me and my friend still had no plates, the waiter informed us that another incompetent server accidentally brought our two jerk dishes to another table.45 minutes after the 3 friends (who hadn’t started their meals yet to be polite) received their meals, the two final jerk plates arrived. I took one bite and my mouth was on fire – which some people like, don’t get me wrong, I just already specified I don’t like that. But I didn’t want to complain about that, as my friends had waited 45 min as their food got cold for me to receive this plate. So when the waiter came back and I hadn’t touched my food, I just politely asked for a to-go container. He asked me if i was too spicy, and I answered honestly yes, but I know my coworker likes this so I’ll bring it for him to eat tomorrow. I began to think the jerk shouldn’t only describe the chicken.Dessert was subpar – nobody finished theirs.So finally after the longest meal ever our bills arrived and to our astonishment the tip was already included set at 15%. Needless to say, none of us were planning on tipping so my friend asked what gives. The waiter said that since it’s winterlicious the tip is automatically included, which was stated nowhere on the menu or winterlicous website. So essentially the staff can provide the shittiest service and receive no penalty. I literally went home $50 poorer and still hungry.. not good Harlem.. not good.
