A few of us wanted to have some really spicy dishes as the nights have gotten cooler of late. It’s the middle of August! This restaurant is known for their spicy menu. They have dishes with one, two, and three peppers beside it to rank each item. We decided to order several spicy dishes with a fried rice to complement it. For the spicy dishes we ordered the Steam Chicken with Chili Sauce and Peanuts, Stir Fried Green Peppers, Lamb with Cumin, Pea Shoots with Garlic, Smokey Duck, and Fried Rice with Preserved Pork. I found the Stir Fried Green Peppers to be the most spicy, I could still feel it hours after eating the first bite. It led us to order beers during the meal to cool ourselves off. The Steam Chicken is actually served cold and is covered in chili oil. I was not in to the cold steam chicken. The peanuts and cucumbers in the chili oil was a better match in my opinion. My favorite is still the Lamb with Cumin, the taste is strong and matches perfectly with the leek. The Smokey Duck was marinated to perfection, each bite had the same consistence in taste. The Pea Shoot and Fried Rice with Preserved Pork did not disappoint to round out the meal.

I like how they now use real table cloth instead of plastic. Everything here is just so much classier!Menu has the usual Northern Chinese selection. Tian Fu is serving the real authuentic Chongqing and Szuchaun cuisine. But be warned that when they says is spicy, it is really that spicy. Be prepared! They do have a lunch menu with a good selection of rice dishes for $7.50. Beef with Noodle in Spicy Broth ($7.99) is good and spicy. Made my lips went numb and my eyes watery, the way I like it! I think this is the most spicy broth I ever ate in GTA.Of course there are other non spicy items to choose from. But I would stay with the hot spicy stuff!

The chicken morsels are stir-fried with peanuts, peppers, and vegetables making the whole dish an explosion of spicy and tasty goodness. I loved how they stir-fried the chicken here; each piece was so smooth and seasoned. Ive had this dish before in other restaurants and I think this was the best version Ive ever had!I liked the taste of the rice and beef when everything was mixed together!Yum! I liked the spicy deep fried chicken wings! They were surprisingly not spicy. The Gong Bao Chicken definitely was more spicy than these wings. It was a great portion!Since there were quite a few of us who werent big spice lovers, we tried to choose dishes that were not extremely Sichuan in style to accommodate everyones tastes. I think we ended up choosing a fair representation of the dishes to meet everyones needs. However, I would love to return again in the future to try even more dishes! stenoodie.com
