The service is quick. Food is clean but some dishes such as the ham macaroni, tasted very bland and was unseasoned so it felt like I was just eating macaroni in hot water. There are plenty of seats available and HE atmosphere is calm and quiet, especially in the mornings.
Good food, quick service – can’t complain about anything.. There was no wait for a table on this Saturday visit at around 130pm, but we were in a booth towards the washroom almost. Ordered a customized noodle from the tick sheet – a tomyum soup base with flat rice noodles, and brisket and tendon for $8.99, which also comes with a hot drink. It’s definitely not for the light appetite! Brisket was tender, tendon was smooth and so were the noodles! The soup was thick and flavorful – my nose was dribbly towards the end. What I loved is that it also came with tonnes of mushrooms! Also ordered a club sandwich – it was one of the better ones that we’ve had. Piece de resistance was the French toast with PB – yum yum….
Yogi is the typical neighbourhood Hong Kong style resto that is clean, quick, reasonably priced, with a rather extensive menu. As I do in all HK restos, I tried the Baked Pork Chop Rice and it was pretty good. The pork chop was tender, rice fried with eggs, sauce not too sour or ketchupy. Only gripe would be the random canned pineapple pieces in the sauce that weren’t integrated well enough with the sauce. So every few bites there would be a burst of sourness in your mouth. Parking and location are both convenient so I will probably go back again and try other dishes.
DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME FOR YOGI NOODLE Rate 0 out of 5. This is for the RICHMOND HILL at East Beaver Creek:Went there for lunch, waited 10 minutes on the line and the waitress gave the spot to someone she knows (pretend that the customer made a reservation, but obviously is not through their conversation). Sat down on an uncleaned table and yet the waitress came over in about 5 minutes to ask if we need any changes for the cash that was left on the table by the previous customers. The staffs are so unorganized and they are just literally walking around instead paying attention to the customers. Our side table are also complaining about the slow service. We didn’t want to waist our time for the precious holiday and left the place. IF YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME FOR A NORMAL BALL PARK FOOD, GO TO YOGI to give it a try. The owners are busy cleaning the bar instead watching out for the service.
Breakfast could be better. Just went there for breakfast for the first time. Nearly empty. Food was okay. I had their Chicken Teriyaki with Eggs and Toast plus drink for $4.99 + taxes and tip. I didn’t like the fact that they charge extra to make honey lemon tea (I mean just to add honey was $1.00 extra, forget it, cold drink upgrade is already a rip off as it is).D&R a few stalls to the right of it does not charge me extra for honey lemon tea (and it’s not on their menu either). Also D&R has more selection for breakfast, this only has one single page and not much to choose from).I am going to give this place one more chance for their normal time food, but I am never going here for breakfast. I’ll just go to D&R instead.
