Friendly and yummy!. Will is the super friendly owner who always comes over to talk our family. He always engages our young boys and has time to chat. The menu has traditional Thai food and specials. The calamari is excellent and the curry dishes are very flavourful.
Good tasting Thai. I don’t think I have ever chosen something off the menu and have had it disappointing. The curry dishes are excellent! Their Thai iced Tea is the best I have tried out of many Thai places. Not overly sweet. It’s what I would call good quality take-out food. Expect the usual frozen pre-cut meats and veggies at most chinese places but more healthy choices than just Chinese food.
Decent food….kind of surly attitude. I’ve eaten at this restaurant three times and taken out once. The food is decent (some dishes are slightly oily) and nicely flavoured and have enjoyed the dishes I’ve ordered. I’ve had the Tom Yam soup, hot and sour soup, crispy spicy chili shrimp, crispy Thai Tao chicken, Thai peanut crispy chicken, Thai chili mushrooms, stir fry mixed veggies with garlic sauce, and the Thai basil eggplant and tofu (tofu is fried, which I didn’t enjoy). However the male who works there (owner perhaps) has a surly attitude and it seems like you are disturbing him. I’ve never seen him smile and I’ve seen him muttering to himself as he’s leaves his laptop to serve patrons. He goes through the motions of taking orders and asking how the food is, but doesn’t ask if you want/need anything else and just brings the bill. Bottom line, go for the food and not the friendly service.
Great food!. I’ve been to a lot of Thai restaurants, and I find that each caters certain dishes better than others. Having tried a rather wide variety of dish’s at Uxbridge Thai, both as an in house diner and for takeout, I think its great! There’s a lot of flavour to their food, though I particularly enjoy their pumpkin chicken curry, crispy spicy chili shrimp, crispy ginger beef, and the cashew nut chicken I generally enjoy everything I try. Not ever meal is perfect every time (I’ve had enough repeats to know) but overall I hover between happily satisfied and delighted by my meals.Plus I find the staff friendly, never had to wait an inappropriate length of time for my meal, and the place is clean, if a little tightly packed. It’s always a nice meal.
I’m sorry to report this was by far the worst Thai we’ve ever had. We’ve recently moved from Pickering to Uxbridge and had high hopes for Thai Village but they let us down on every dish. The chicken fried rice was soggy. The red curry was less than stellar and the roti Canai was so so watery we couldn’t spoon it into the roti shell. It would have been better as a soup. We were spoiled by having the Thai Orchid near us in Pickering. I guess from this point forward I’ll be picking up our Thai fix in Pickering and driving it 40 minutes north to Uxbridge.
???. Not authentic Thai food, it’s more like Chinese food with a little Thai spices to me
Thai…. ming is Everything. Went to the Villa when it first opened and thought it was over priced and mediocre at best. Didn’t go back for a couple years but kept hearing how great it was from locals. Tried it again recently and my original impression is the same. Over priced pseudo thai food that lacks any authentic Thai inspiration and is bad Chinese food in disguise, in fact, the quality has declined. If it’s Chinese you want Check our Dragon Court as for Thai you find it in UXB. A 2 out of 10……Sam
