The first couple of times we ate at Arturo’s were pleasant and quite delicious. However, the last time we went, the pizza was bland and the meat toppings tasted off. Won’t be returning.
The first time we tried thier pizza it was fantastic. The second and third time the pizza was under cooked and lacked ingredients we asked for. Sandwiches are small and overpriced. The bottega in the market serves delicious and big sandwiches for less money. Very disappointed since Arturos is our local pizza shop.
Ordered take out, salads were ridiculously small for the price (8$), asked for more which they did. I should have looked at the pasta as well because it only filled less than half the container and the noodles were chewy. Never going here again (went once before and it was so-so, decided to give it another shot… So bad)
Terrible service and disgusting food. I ordered Arturo’s through their online ordering service at 6:00pm Nov 28, 2015, and scheduled it to be ready for 7:00pm so I could pick it up on my way home. When I arrived at 7:00pm the man told me I should have called and ordered because they made it right when I ordered and it had been sitting for over 25 minutes. I told them I had scheduled it but he said they ignore that and just kept saying I should have phoned. Why couldn’t they have called me to tell me they would make it right away or that the food was done early. The place was empty, so it’s not like they were crushed for time. Anyway the garlic bread was a soggy mess, the risotto balls hard as rock and the pizza cold and cheese a congealed mass. My GF and I were terribly disappointed. Frankly I’m shocked they would even serve it to me considering I had requested it be prepared for pickup at 7:00 pm. It was my first time there and I won’t be returning.
Very good experience, we had the ravioli, the veal parmigiana and some pizzas to takeout. The pasta is freshly made and a nice change. The food and service were excellent; highly recommended!
Lovely brunch. My family of four tried Arturo’s this morning for brunch. Now, I have been out for breakfast four times in the last week (two restaurants in Toronto and this and another in Ottawa). Arturo’s was the best. My youngest daughter had the kids chocolate chip pancake, and although she’s pretty open-minded when it comes to sweet carbs, she really loved these pancakes. The fruit skewer was a nice touch! And she ate all the sausage, which is very surprising. My husband had the eggs benedict and claimed that the eggs were cooked perfectly and that the ham was of higher quality and better tasting than many other places he’s been.My other daughter had the breakfast pizza and nearly fell in love. I had the quiche which, although was overcooked in my opinion, was very tasty and had a very nice pastry. I did very much enjoy the crisp salad with just enough vinaigrette that it was a perfect companion to the richness of the quiche. As others have mentioned, the service is quite friendly and professional – it’s a nice little place with a cozy atmosphere and genuine warmth. I would recommend for a family brunch.
