Best Greek food I’ve ever eaten. I had the chicken breast with peppercorn sauce that comes with a side of rice, potatoes and some vegetables. I didn’t care much for the service though- the two girls working looked like they had no interest in being there and were quite rude. We heard similar complaints from other tables as well and if you asked them a question, they’d just ignore you and walk away with a disgusting look on their faces. I’ll be back for the food, but I hope the service is better and their attitudes improve.
We were in Kitchener and one of us who works near to Mediterraneo suggested we go for a quick bite. The restaurant was not busy on a Saturday afternoon and we quickly seated. The interior is nicely decorated and felt as if we’re in Greece. The waitress was top notch in service, I must add. We ordered two Veg Moussakas, one Greek Omlet and one Veg Fettuccine between the five of us. The Moussakas come with a Greek Salad and a serving of Lentil Rice. The veggies (eggplants, potatoes in tomato sauce) is covered with bechamel sauce. The veggies and sauce are delicious is the star of this dish. The salad was great, but normally we request that they go light on the dressing – which we didn’t – and hence the dressing was a bit too much. The rice perfectly cooked with lentils and onions, but again too greasy for our taste. The Fettuccine comes with veggies which was a welcome change and went perfectly with the noodles. There is garlic bread and Parmesan cheese on the side, again a welcome change as we don’t like too much Parmesan Cheese. The Greek Omlet is different and actually works well – rather than wrapped as served elsewhere, here it is mixed and Omlet is actually a bit firm than the fluffy which I was used too. A bit too much salt, but I guess Feta Cheese did it. Also comes with a pita bread ( a welcome change rather than bread) and Greek Salad. We were thinking of trying the Mojito Cheese Cake, but sadly they were out of it. Perhaps next time – surely will visit the next time we are in KW

She seemed to rush by our table several times. And our table was not the only patrons waiting for their food. We understood the kitchen was busy and we waited patiently, but we think it is unacceptable for the waitress not to come over in that first hour once to say what the wait was or enquire if we needed anything.
First time at Mediterraneo… group dinner with the KWC Companions of the Quaich. The food was delicious and just kept coming. So many dishes can’t recall all of them but all were cooked to perfection. My wife and I will definitely be returning for another authentic Greek meal.
Best Greek Food. It’s the only place I go to for Greek food. I’ve been to other Greek restaurants, in Vancouver even, and couldn’t find anything as good for the reasonable price they offer here. Great atmosphere and great service too.

Worst service and server ever..adding insult to injury. After waiting 15 minutes to order drinks, we had enough time to order drinks and food together. Took another 15 minutes to get the drinks and 1 1/2 hours to get the food. The server never came back to explain the delay, ask if we wanted any more drinks etc. The orders came out at different times so we never got to eat together. I asked If the kitchen shared the tips she said yes, I said we’re sending a message with no tip. She started to cry and said that it wasn’t her fault and that she would pray for us in church (over and over again) like now it’s our fault….trying to put the blame on us for the lack of service. She needs to go and the kitchen staff needs some serious training on how to get food out in an orderly fashion.
