We went with my friend and 5 kids just 10 minutes before closing. They still gave us table, excellent service and tasty food. Nobody rushed us. We will be definitely returning for many more dinners. And what a great location with beautiful views.

Beautiful location and scenery but food and service is just ok. Had to send back roast beef because it was so overcooked and tough it was not edible. I have had better meals here. Fish tacos are ok and burger is good but very greasy. All meals I feel I could make better myself at home or have had better at different restaurants. Shame because the restaurant is so nice I want the food to be good so I could go more often.

We seem to be the lucky ones. Arrived about 4pm on a spring Saturday. Not too busy. Like most ordered the Pushlinch burger with fries. The cheese ring is not something to be taken lightly. Sinfully good, bad melted cheese. :-)For dessert, had the caramel apple cheesecake. Something different and very tasty. If you like cheesecake and apples this is a definite try item. Service was friendly, food was a good temperature. Good experience for those at the table. The view of the lake is nice too. Supposedly, this is a new building, nice to see it is not crammed with tables and chairs where you are bumping into others. We were lucky and had a good overall experience.

Great view, boring menu. We’ve come the the Old Marina Restaurant for years and I continue to wonder why. The view and restaurant interior are great. However the menu is bland and boring. Their once famous burger is nothing more then meatloaf meat and a bun. Their half chicken dinner tasted like it had been reheated from a batch made days ago. Overall their menu is uninspired and needs to be redone. My family had a hard time finding something worth eating. I think the chef or owner needs to see what other local restaurants are doing. 50’s Diner would be a good place to start. They are always busy because they have a good menu. I mentioned to the waitress that the food here was okay but not great. I must have scared her because she quickly brought the check. We never had a chance to order coffee. Overall they lack the zest in their menu needed to bring me back.

Supper & drinks August 21/14. My friend and I at my insistence went for supper to The Old Marina restaurant. I was there with my son and my friend for lunch at the opening of the new downstairs patio, food wa beautiful as was the setting. This evening. Beautiful setting, food, now that was a different story. I had the same dish for supper as I had for lunch a week prior. I had the flat bread with tomatoe sauce, turkey breast, tomatoe, and onion, topped off with smoked cheddar. LUNCH ONE WEEK AGO WAS AWESOME. Supper this evening, was AWFUL.The turkey breast was processed meat, the flat bread was soggy, and the appetizers, sorry guys, those were crab cakes???? Anyway, whoever is reading this, the flat bread is really a glorified pizza, so be warned. I was going to take my Grandson for lunch as a treat. (He’s 22) Changed my mind.

Nice view but food is alright. my bf was extra happy when he got an extra double baked with his meal becausd apparantly the one that he already have was a little too small for his meatloaf.overall it was a good experience.

So.. not so great afterall. I had heard this place was good. So I was excited to try it. Walked in and there was some bad smell which more than a couple of us noticed by the door and quasi gift shop… Bathroom? Don’t know.. but not pleasant. It was Saturday afternoon, after the big rush, the main dining room was pretty empty.. the patio was busy.Eventually we obtained a table for seven. Drinks had already been served to us at the bar. We order appetizers. I ordered something called Pico de gallo which has fresh tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, green peppers, lime juice and zest and mixed cheese with chips.. in layers. It arrived an it was carefully shaped and appeared to mainly whitish red onions. One taste determined that there was a very distinct lack of cilantro taste (normally a distinctive taste).. and the other ingredients seemed hard to find, if not lacking. I politely asked about cilantro and the server said.. Well that would be those green bits. (Tiny.. green bits). I said.. well, it doesn’t have a cilantro taste or any taste at all…. even the onions were tasteless. He seemed annoyed by me. So I simply gave it back. He seemed to laugh at me behind my back.. Okay.. gave it back and said that I am not paying for this dish. He said fine. So.. no offer to discuss the dish.. simply the customer is annoying and wrong. Between that experience with that server, the tasteless dish and the bad smell at the entry.. and in spite of the great view.. not going back.
