Went to a retirement party last night in the hall in the lower level. The place is very beautiful and the food was okay too but the staff responsible for taking care of the guests were appalling. They were very cold and did not put in any effort to explain the menu in order to accommodate my or my friend’s dietary needs. When asked about the ingredients they all couldn’t care less and gave different answers. In fact they all ( 3 of them particularly) had a smug grin as if they are obliging by providing food. No matter how beautiful the ambience is any place with such stuck up staff attitude will be a failure. I feel that the 3 white ladies were racist too as they couldn’t comprehend how some people have dietary preferences due to their religious beliefs. You actually wrecked the otherwise so wonderful retirement party.

Went for lunch with my friend on a holiday Monday. Busy, but not too long of a wait approx 10 mins). Had a drink at the bar. Got a table inside as we asked for first available. Sitting outside our wait would have been substantially longer. Windows afforded a lovely view of the lake. Will have to go back in the fall when the leaves are changing! Both of us ordered their Puslinch burger which is covered in cheese that melts into a crispy shell on the flat top. It was really good. The bun was a fresh egg bun, the toppings were fresh and crisp, the fries were the BEST I’ve had in the region, and the side salad was a spring mix with a balsamic dressing on the side, which was a nice surprise. I’m already thinking about trying their Club sandwich next time, which they advertise as being made from a whole turkey cooked onsite! (Not Deli turkey) I found the place to be clean and the servers to be friendly. No flies when we were there. It was pricey though. We paid for our drinks at the bar, so for 2 burgers, with tax and tip, it was $44.00 for lunch!!!! I’ll definitely be going back, but NOT as often as I’d like due to the prices. Thanks to my hair dresser for mentioning the place to me! munchingqueen.wordpress.com

Great view of the lake. Best for drinks on the patio and some bar food. I see the negative reviews but I’ve always enjoyed it. I have been there three times. The food isn’t anything out of the ordinary but it’s a nice casual evening out with friends.
