The king of pies (Lebanese meat pies, that is).Great bakery with a range of meat, cheese and veggie pies. All are warmed up in their oven and served piping hot. Personal favourites include the meat/cheese and spinach/cheese versions. The zaatar has a nice spice mix but some may find it too thick/doughy.Everything is within CAD 3.50 and makes a cheap/tasty lunch paired with a bottle of juice from their vast beverage cabinet. Go adventurous and try something different (pineapple or mango juice, or a bottle of jellab with hints of date and honey). The older gent in the cashier is very chatty and helpful: feel free to ask for suggestions (if he’s not too busy). All in all, a great experience and hope they open more branches (or franchises) in future.
Stay away! The most disrespectful dishonest in Ottawa. After ordering, the cashier tells me they don’t have a debit or credit machine, he tells to withdraw from an ATM behind him which costs 2$, or walk to the gas station a couple of blocks away. After paying and getting change back I notice I’m short, and after telling him and asking for my receipt the cashier screams at me and tells me to come over so he can search me that I don’t have the change he gave me (which isn’t there anyway). And how does it end after I refuse to be searched… He kicks me out telling me not to return again. What I should have done, to prove it’s not the money but the disrespect and humiliation, was throw the food back at his counter and walk out.As for their food… It sucks… Low quality chewy pink meat, raw crunchy potatoes, bad seasoning and doesn’t taste goodStaff hygiene? Better if they work in car repairand mechanics. Disgusting. Dirty hands, dirty uniforms, no hats or caps.Stay away.

THE BEST!. Friendly staff and awesome food, dont listen to the complainers on here, clearly they dont know what good food is… Best ive had in all of Ottawa and Montreal. these guys know how to do it right 😉 Zaataaaaaaar mmmm lol <3
Good snack. Dropped in last night for the first time. The staff was very nice, the pies (we had meat and cheese) were tasty, and the baklava were just like I like them: well stuffed and moist with honey.
They’ve added an automatic oven. Their pie is smaller now and its taste is not as good as when it is baked in the manual oven. A huge lineup on lunch time with the owner running the service counter with confusion.
They’ve grown…. The place is a little bigger now – they’ve got a nut and baklava section, as well as an ice cream/gelato section. The nuts are fresh, fresh, fresh! The Lebanese pies are their usual awesomeness… Best in town!
