Dissapointed. No major drama just nothing redeeming other than the location and decor sadly. We went on a quiet night. Party of two. Only one server as far as we could tell but the place was almost empty so couldn’t forgive the long waits at each stage… to get water and menus took 10 mins, drinks waited another 10 to order then took 20 to make (simple mixed drinks not fancy stuff), then another wait to order food, which took a while too for simple items… Went for dollar oysters but missed the happy hour time. Ordered anyways but shouldn’t have as they were poorly shucked, sad deflated little things. We are oyster fans, these would have been tolerable at 1 dollar each but no more. Cocktail sauce was obviously just a blob of ketchup with fresh horseradish hastily mixed in before serving- not good. We also ordered the calamari which would have been tasty had it not been overcooked, served dripping with oil and with more of the dreaded cocktail sauce. Hadn’t learned our lesson yet so tried the charcuterie plate. Now at an upscale place like this I expect a bit of pizzaz in a plate of meats and cheeses. Instead a board the size of a side plate arrived with 1/2 oz of old cheddar, a 1 oz wedge of generic brie type cheese and another oz of Oka. Accompanied by three slices of proscuitto and no other meat selections. Could have gone to loblaws and paid less. The only good part of our meal was the view and the warm bread served with the charcuterie – except my bf is gf. He enjoyed his drink lol.We won’t go back. Great location but plenty of other options.$125 w tax and tip.

Went here based on the top 10 places for oysters in Ottawa and definitely lived up to it. Had a good number of the $1 special and all were fresh and tasty. The beer selection is excellent. I understand that there was a recent change in management, and I can see that the past poor reviews have been taken to heart. Will definitely be going back!
