Been coming to Whispers for twenty years. A lovely pub in the urban setting, though aging. Friendly, enjoyable, very poor internet services, but worth the visit. Food is the typical pub fare and very acceptable.
Decent overall. Here is the breakdown:Pros:- Tons of beer choices, both domestic and imported.- Attentive waiting staff and food is quick to reach the table.- Patio along Richmond Road is very nice, weather permitting.- Excellent range of daily specials.- Good music, not too loud.Cons:- Food is OK. Nothing special, but nothing bad to say.- Limited space on the patio (though there is a second one around the side).- Tables on the patio outside were small and cheap plastic.- Could feature more local beers from Ontario’s many microbreweries; this is becoming popular in Ottawa restaurants these days.
Disgusted. Worst experience ever in my life! Waited forever for a drink, then had to witness the waitress giving her co-worker a blast for not letting her know what was going on with the tables while they did a shift change. Ordered fish and chips, the fish was frozen in the middle, she asked me if I wanted it re-heated, I said no, did not want it at all, was never once asked if I wanted something else! I left my husband to pay the bill as I was so upset, needless to say, no tip. When my husband mentioned her her that the fish was not good and that I was never asked if I wanted something else, she was very rude. As someone who has worked customer service for over 25 years I know how hard it can be but come on! Will NEVER set foot in that place again. Bad food and the worst customer service ever!!!!! Sorry you had to work on Easter Sunday Miss redhead waitress but give me a break, I would rather had been with my family too but would never treat my customers like that if I had been scheduled to work today!
