Been wanting to try this place for a while. I had high hopes for it, but it did notdeliver. The wood fired pizza was not terribly good…but not bad either, it was just Meh. The pasta was small and again very average.
I had the mussels and they were gritty, I could not eat them. Please stop serving frites with them, a nice piece of bread for dipping into the broth is much better, if you can eat it.

Had a fantastic meal!. The family and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at Hot Rocks this evening. Our kids are aged 3 and 5 and there were a number of options on the menu priced at $4.99. The pasta and pizza were a hit with the kids. We both had pasta and enjoyed it very much. The gnocchi was fabulous and the coconut shrimp app was great! Th service was also great! Check it out.
Hotrocks has a fantastic environment. The menu is very diverse offering everything from international pizza dishes to your more protein based meals such as lamb shanks, ribs and steak. The service is excellent and despite some wait times during the busier hours of operation we were continually looked after and updated as to how long the wait might be. The food is exquisite and is very different from your more traditional franchise style menus. I would highly recomend this restaraunt.
This is a great restaurant with quick service. The interior is wonderful, a nice earthy dcor with a cozy environment complete with a wood burning stove and bar. I recommend my favourites on the menu which are the mussels with Thai sauce (the sauce has a nice tang, the mussels aren’t too overpowering and they come with delicious sweet potato frites on top), the gnochi, and the salmon with vegetables and beet rissotto.
