I don’t know why it has taken me so long to post a review for Thai Delicious. Without a doubt, my favourite lunch spot in Whitby (and fav Thai spot outside of Toronto). Lunch specials run from $6-8and in addition to your main course (curry chicken, pad thai, satay chicken, etc)you get a delicious bowl of soupand aspring roll. The service is alwaysfriendlyand the food is really really good. Can’t wait to go back!

Thai Delicious: Yummy. We had a lovely Thai dinner tonight. Our party of 3 had chicken satay (skewered chicken with peanut sauce) and Tom Yong soup (creamy soup with seafood and lemongrass). Rice and noodles , beef garlic and yellow curry. Coconut ice cream with soft fresh coconut. Really, really nice. Our host, Jung, was pleasant, understanding and provided prompt service. That was a great night out.

Excellent. Great flavours – very interesting dishes. The Spicy Fish was so good.

Thai Delicious, MY CHOICE in Durham. I have been a regular for both eat in and take out. NEVER have I had anything but great fresh food. Always a cheerful greeting and a quiet cozy atmosphere. I NEVER hesitate to recommend which says something in itself. A lovely meal and a cold Singha beer or two is always pleasing. Bob

Great Thai!. I’ve tried most Thai places in Durham for dinner; this one is my favourite. Good selection on the menu and the food is always very fresh, which makes all the difference. Nice relaxing atmosphere. I usually get a Singha beer to go with the food and they’re always ice cold. Very clean inside and the staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

Reserved table for 6 for Birthday lunch. We have been to Thai Delicious many times with the previous owners & new owners and have always found the food excellent. Today (Sept. 25) I had a table reserved (booked days before) for 6 people for lunch. Staff are very nice. We waited one hour for our food with one person getting theirs, then about 5-10 minutes later 2 more got their meal, then time past, next got theirs and the birthday girl got hers last with the first person served finished with her meal. 2 of the meals were mixed up and the Birthday girl had asked for rice & wings and ended up getting a different dish altogether – chicken satay I think it was. We never said anything as from the time we ordered to the time we all had our meals, an hour & 5 minutes had passed. Other patrons at the restaurant came in, got their orders, ate & had left before we even got our food. I never said anything because I do like the staff there but once my meal was corrected, my Chicken Pad Thai was cool, not warm. It is unfortunate as this was the first time some of our guests had been there & they love their Thai food but said due to the slow service, food not all arriving to the table for everyone at the same time & the meal mix up, they would not go back. Even the guest of honour who has been there a few times before said she was surprised at the service we got & said it would be a very long time before she would go back. This is such a shame as it is a handy restaurant to us, the staff are very nice, food good & hot normally but today was not their best. The girls would not leave a tip so I felt bad as I had arranged this so I left the tip myself for everyone. Sorry!

Still no Sweet Basil Thai. I ordered basil fried rice, chicken pad Thai, garlic shrimp. I asked if it was same or different owners from the previous thai restaurant. The person at the counter said sweet basil was new at making thai food and laughed. I’m a thai guru, and this restaurant is the newbies. Pad Thai was not up to par, rice and garlic shrimp was good but a lot off fillers rather than shrimp. I spent $40 and was expecting much more. More than half the garlic shrimp container was broccoli. Same with the fried rice. Will not go back especially when u put down the previous restaurant and yours isn’t even as good. Not even close
