2017/10/29We were out for an afternoon drive, looking at what remains of the Fall colours, and we stopped in at Tangerine Asian Cuisine for dinner on the way back. The restaurant is relatively new, and was much less than half full. We started out with a small bowl of the Chicken Hot & Sour Soup, which was enough for two very full cups. Savoury, spicy and sour, it was nice way to begin the meal. Then we ordered two dishes to share. We also tried to order one steamed rice, but our server said it was included with our main dishes. The first dish was the Mongolian Beef, which was thinly sliced beef, stir fried with peppers and onions, in a mediium spicy sauce. The beef was nice and tender. Our second dish was Chicken with Diced Vegetables & Cashews. There were chunks of pepper and onion, diced carrots, and peas. We were wondering if the peas and carrots may have come from a bag of frozen veggies. The flavours were just ok. Our server was very friendly, and we had a couple of very brief discussions, which made for a more enjoyable dining experience.
