Not real Hungarian food!. As a Hungarian vacationing in Windsor with another friend of Hungarian descent, we were happy to come across the Blue Danube at first, expecting some fare from the homeland. However, our lunch quickly turned sour when we realized that there was nothing authentic about the place. Very few of the dishes are Hungarian (Polish and Austrian dishes dominate the menu), and there is not even a Hungarian-language menu available. Any true Magyar knows that Weiner Schnitzel and pierogies are abominations not encountered in any real Budapest restaurant. When we asked if any of the staff spoke Hungarian, our waitress got the manager to come out, who started speaking Polish. Then, to top it all off, they offered Tokaji Aszu at the price of $15 per glass, when I could go the Europe and buy Aszu by the gallon for that price. A total rip-off by some Slavs masquerading as Magyars.
