Pleasant suprise/ excellent value. Visiting from Pittsburgh, walking around Erie St. figured a fairly new place was worth a try. Best decision I have made in a while. From the hospitality, to the service, and most of all the food….. it was an excellent experience. Asked for Risotto and at the suggestion of the manager left the rest up to them. The Chef /Owner did not disappoint. Only wish I had I bigger appetite. Wine and desert suggestions equally helpful.
Had dinner tonight with 4 of my gf’s at Ciao Pasta Bar and we all agreed that our overall experience was 10 out of 10!!! The service was AMAZING, the food was better than we imagined, and the price…so affordable! We do dinner fairly often and never agree on a place, however this will be on our regular list of restaurants to go to! Saying we loved it would be and understatement! Thanks for finally opening a restaurant with some charm and a fun atmosphere in Windsor!!!!
Mediocre. Me and my wife had dinner here and the everything was thoroughly mediocre. We ordered a Caesar salad that claimed to be homemade but could have easily come out of a bottle. I ordered homemade fettuccine carbonara and my wife order the homemade fettuccine bolognese. The pasta itself was fairly good but had none of the silky delicacy of fresh pasta–noddles were hardened and stuck together. My carbonara was just a cream sauce with pancetta. I almost sent it back. If you’re going to run a pasta bar, then at least learn to make one of the staple Italian pasta dishes. Eggs! There needs to be eggs! Without eggs, it’s just cream sauce. My wife’s bolognese was a little better, but it had none of the richness of this classic Italian ragu sauce. So while the food was acceptable, it simply does not live up to what it says it is. Maybe their other dishes are better. I’ll probably give them another try.
What a lovely evening my family had at ciao pasta bar! The food was delicious, got my kids to eat everything! Loved all the choices, especially the gluten free. It was great that we could great pastas that we will enjoy because it’s our preference! The prices were extremley affordable and the staff was very kind especially to our kids! Made us feel like family!! Ciao pasta bar is welcoming, delicious and affordable!! Everyone should go!!
AMAZING!!!!. I took my family there on the opening wknd, excited to try out somewhere different, and we ALL loved our dishes!!!My salmon was perfect! It was very delicious. I cant wait to go back and order it again. The rest of the gang loved all their food too, which is shocking cause my kids are very picky eaters! They ate everything up. The tomato soup was incredible as well!! YUM!We all cant wait to go back to eat there in the near future, it was a great dining experience.
