The food was traditional and good, the waitress was very personable and attentive, however the decor could use some updating, which had not changed from my last visit 20 years ago.
Huge disappointment!. After all the good reviews I made reservations here for my birthday. I brought my entire family and we were all very disappointed. I was actually embarrassed because they are all from out of town and are total foodies and appreciate good food and good service. Our waitor was very unengaged and seemed quite miserable. Wasnt attentive or friendly. The food was surprisingly oily and flavourless. The dish towels they use for napkins were a total turn off. The only good thing I tasted was the pasta carbonara with bacon and cream. Everything else was mediocre at best! I was so let down and will not return unfortunately. I really wish this wasn’t the case because I love supporting local restaurants.

Bon appetit!. Cozy and intimate with delicious food and great service all at a reasonable price. My experience started off on the right foot when I called to tell them I was running a bit behind on our reservation time. The gentleman on the phone assured me that he would hold our table for whatever time we arrived. We arrived about 20 minutes after our scheduled time and people were waiting for seating but we were taken directly to our table. The house salad, mussels and lamb chops were exceptional. I will be recommending this delightful place to my friends.

Great Experience, Great Food. Cook’s Shop is indeed, as noted above, one of the most romantic restaurants around. The restaurant is intimate and charming, the service is attentive, and the food is impeccable. That it is ridiculously reasonable for outstanding food is an unexpected bonus. Can’t recommend Cook’s Shop highly enough.
