Went there once with a friend- service was absolutely TERRIBLE! Our table and the floor was filthy and there were other tables cluttered with dirty dishes that hadn’t been picked up from customers leaving. Our sushi and appetizers were gross as well. Have not and will not go back.
Hoi Sushi brings back fond memories of my University of Windsor days. The place itself is practically a staple with the business students at Odette. As one of the few AYCE sushi spots in the Windsor/Essex area, it will hold a special place in the hearts of many Windsorites. But… it’s just not very good. The place is rather large and can house quite a crowd. Located right on Wyandotte, close to the University, you’re inclined to see fellow students gather around. The sushi rolls are filled with more rice than fish, but that’s OK. The sushi pizza is a huge hit for most people as well. The hot foods are done decently well and the hand rolls are always a plus. They actually do a better job with their a la carte as they do offer some quick decent takeout.Hoi is a decent spot to come to if youre looking to eat massive amounts of sushi in a little time. It does do a good job of shelling out massive amounts of sushi to hungry, student debt laden kids and for that, we are forever grateful Hoi. cheatdayeveryday.com
To be fair, I wasn’t big on sushi before I came by Hoi Sushi. Since then, I’ve been there thrice in a short span of time.Hoi has that perfectly calm ambience that lulls you into thinking that all’s well, even if the world might be ending outside.Careful with the all-you-can-eat, though. Sometimes, some orders take a while to come, so you might be into your third round already, when they bring you a plateful of sushi from your first round. You have to pay full price for the plate that you waste, so order conservatively.Salmon pizza was something new and alien to me. But rest assured, it blew my tastebuds’ ?minds. The red dragon? Brilliant. Spicy-crab rolls? To die for. I’d advise against the rice, just to spare room formore sushi.
One of the best sushi places I have been to. Been back many times. Great food, all you can eat buffet will leave you stuffed. Nice location. Great first date location.
Pretty Good. I’ve been going to this place since 2010. It’s been consistent. It’s a busy place so yes during certain times you could be waiting up to 30 minutes for food and sometimes they forget your order (keep in mind each table is ordering almost 20 things that they actually do a pretty good job at keeping track).Drinks are overpriced, they have some pretty amazing food for the lunch price! Their dinner is the best though!!! love their snow mountain roll I think its called (rice paper with mango, tempura shrimp, avocado, mayo and its drizzled with more mango sauce!! AMAZING) ..The prices are very reasonable and appropriate for the quality and service which is good most of the time. I have my grad this week and if I’m lucky I’ll luck out and get a table here!
Service improved big time. The best all you can eat sushi in town29 May, 2014Food is great, service is great.
Excellent Customer Service. I have eaten here more times than I can count, and think of myself as a regular. I ended up ordering out only 1 maki roll and 2 hand rolls and had my parents pick it up for me. When they came home I noticed that I didn’t get one of my hand rolls and decided to call back and tell them what had happen just to let them know for the future. He was very kind and told me he recognized my parents and would give me a store credit next time I came in. However he called back minutes later and asked for my address because they wanted to fix the mistake and deliver the roll too me. The customer service and dedication from the owner is incredible. Would definitely recommend this establishment!
