The dishes were awesome.. The amount of spices and the flavour was just perfect ! Will definitely try more varieties here. The chicken was crispy,hot and fresh. A perfect Lunch !
I have a HUGE problem with this restaurant! The first time I went here I was really excited because my Chinese friend told me that they had amazing food… so I went and the only menu I got were ‘combos’… chicken balls and rice, sweet and sour chicken and rice, spring rolls and cashew chicken and rice. I was expecting authentic Chinese food and all I got were Americanized combo choices, along with a fork and knife.. when we asked for chopsticks the lady looked at us funny… Then about a year later my Chinese friend took me there. My boyfriend and I (both Caucasians) got a fork, knife, and a combo menu, meanwhile my Chinese friend got chopsticks and 3 different menus! She then asked the lady for us to have chopsticks and the other menus too. The lady gave us chopsticks, we asked for water and we did not get it until the end of our meal. The waitress and my friend spoke in Mandarin and sorted out the meal. The lady asked my friend if my boyfriend and I would be okay with eating rice… she told the waitress that we ate more rice than she did. We all thought that this was a really weird experience. My friend then got another menu from behind the counter and then we found the dishes we were looking for. The food was DELICIOUS. But the only way that I can get the food is if I come with a Chinese friend… or else I am doomed to COMBO MENUS. I understand that some Canadian palates are different than Chinese palates, but I love authentic food and it is really sad and really rude for us to be treated this way.
