Great service. This is a great local pub. The service is great. The staff is very friendly!
Good, simple pub menu. Too many places have huge menus with largely mediocre food. This place keeps it simple. Our group only sampled the halibut and chips and a chicken and goat cheese wrap with a side of greens instead of fries. Food took a long time to come, but I think that is because their kitchen must be small and they were doing one table at a time. Food was fresh, hot and very good. Very generous portions. The Brit in me asked for the curry gravy, that came as an option with another menu item (I think it was the bangers and mash), with my fish and chips. It was just like the curry sauce you can get in the UK at the old fashioned fish and chip shops. You can buy it in supermarkets now but it was a flashback to my childhood for sure. Nice selection of Canadian and imported beers. One of our company ordered the Newcastle draught and I had the Tennent’s. Good stuff, friendly service and I’d go there again.
What’s not to love? Inported beers, great food, live Celtic music, football aka soccer ( if you’re into it), and the most authentic pub atmosphere in the city. I love it all!
