Got on one of the frequent bus trips to Casino Windsor which included special rates for the buffet, free transportation and a few gambling chips.It is a large buffet on the casino floor resulting in a silly 19 year old age restriction. It is a buffet which means you pick and chose unlike an ordered sit down meal This could mean that of all the dishes sampled there are going to be some good items and some not so good.. So there is no day to day consistency but no one should ever go hungry. Cost is $20 to $30 for lunch or dinner depending on any discounts you might have. There were many items and desserts were good. Service wasn’t bad and the trip we took insured we did not have to stand in line for a long time.To be sure when doing a review of any buffet it must be compared with other buffets and not compared with a menu selected meal. Have been to numerous buffets and the best in Ontario bar none is the Mandarin. Compared to the quality of food, fresh and heated entrees, good service and outstanding variety of offerings, this place is only average by comparison. The Mandarin is one of London’s top rated restaurants and is all buffet. Desserts at this place are among the best offerings.All food should be served hot and there should be some exchanges of the unpopular items. Still enough of a variety to satisfy most palates. Would have no problem returning but not too soon as there are other better options.
No matter what level your total rewards card is, youre greeted with wide smiles by cashiers and the hostess picks the right spot for guests to sit at , then servers are even nicer, and now the feast begins the salad bar huge selection next to an excellent Mongolian grill , pizza station next to the soups I counted four soups then you have Chinese food station and the Italian cook to order station across from American food selection chicken, fish, meat loaf, mash potato, Mediterranean salad bar with fruits, lets not forget the meats carving section, and if all this leaves some room for a great selection of the round sweet tooth fancy station soft ice cream with toppings, tea and coffee included, cant wait to go back there, hands down Vegas style buffet in Canada!!!!
