A few girlfriends and I were celebrating a bachelorette weekend in Windsor when someone recommended Motor Burger to us. It was such a treat. Sandra was the absolute best. She was super busy but still took time to talk about all the brews with us. She was incredibly warm and you can tell she loves what she does. By the way, the poutine was to die for. Thanks Sandra and Motor Burger for an awesome time!
Called to order take out got the bacon burger only to get my bill and find out bacon is 2$ extra which is dumb it’s called a classic motor burger with bacon it shouldn’t cost 2 extra dollarsThe fried pickles were tasteless and the burger was loaded with spicy sauce that it took away from the flavor the poutine gravy is blanAlso theirs alcohol in the cheesecake sauce… I don’t drink yuk
Dinner here was great. My friend had seen this restaurant featured on You Gotta Eat Here, so when we moved to Windsor recently we decided it was the perfect place to try for dinner. The fried pickles as an appetizer were fantastic! Very crunchy and flavourful, and filling. Friend had the lamb burger which she loved, I had the ‘Fiat’ burger which was very tasty and also had the ‘Pinto’ burger which was turkey. Of them all, mine was disappointing, it was a little spicy and I don’t eat spicy food so hubby traded with me. The side salad that came with it was not that great either, and the coleslaw that came with the burgers was not great either, tasteless. friend also had a side of the lamb poutine, and it was delicious! A huge serving that we all shared and he still had a lot left to take home for later. Later we had the Caesar salad, which was half of a whole romaine, grilled and drizzled with Caesar dressing and bacon bits. It looked good, but she said it was too wilted and did not care for the grilled flavour. Personal taste I imagine on that one. In all we enjoyed our meal very much. They had a good selection of craft beers, which are also sold there to take home. Not much of a wine list, but a few interesting drinks were available. The atmosphere was good, and the server was excellent. She was friendly and every efficient. We got our food quite quickly and she checked on us frequently. We plan to return to try a few of their other burgers. Definitely worth a visit if you like burgers and beer. munchingqueen.wordpress.com
