Great brick oven cooked pizzas! Good size portions for the money and plenty of toppins. My wife and I had a great date night here, good atmosphere.

Yummy!. Thin crust pizza cooked in a wood burning oven. Need I say more? Love the way they serve their drinks – in a mason jar! Oh yea – and their sauce is one of a kind.

Attention Families DO NOT go here. My experience going to Terra Cotta had always been great. My boyfriend and I met with another couple every few Tuesdays for pizza after a friend and I finished yoga. The service was never above and beyond, but we still enjoyed it.This past tuesday we went to meet the other couple and each of us brought along our 8 month old babies. My friend and I entered the restaurant at 6 pm. The waitress asked if we had reservations, we said no, and she said she could seat us at the table close to the wall at the back. Things quickly changed as she saw our boyfriends enter with our babies – one in a car seat, one in a stroller. She then said ‘So you’re not 4, you’re 6 – with the strollers.’We then began to explain that the we could fold the stroller up or bring both baby carriers back to the car, we did not need high chairs, and after 5 minutes of justifying to her why we should still be given a table, my friend actually said ‘you can’t discriminate against us because we have babies.’We were not given an apology, a smile, nothing. She just kept saying ‘I cannot accommodate you.’ It was rude, embarrassing, and disappointing. It is safe to say I will never return there, and advise people with children not to also. If you’re looking for a great pizza place with wonderful service try Vito’s Pizzeria in Olde Walkerville. Their staff actually carried a stroller up their stairs for us and moved tables around and set up a high chair on a busy Saturday evening. I would never suggest going to Terra Cotta after that experience.

This was my third visit to Terra Cotta and my boyfriend’s first and I was really excited to finally get him to try this place because it has been so gooeven the past. We had the focaccia formagio for an app and each had a pizza which was great tasting for the most part except mine was burnt on one side. We were hungry and on a schedule so I did not send it back but there was a good 1.5 inches of the crust on half of it that I couldn’t eat. The service was pretty bad, as well. There were only four tables in the place when we arrived and it took 15 minutes just for the waitress to even ask us what we wanted to drink, and then our app almost beat the water to the table afterwards! Water refill came only when prompted and was warmer than room temp like the pitcher had been sitting beside the oven or something. We asked for colder water, all they did was bring us a cup with some ice cubes. I raved about this place to my boyfriend prior to taking him here tonight so to have this type of experience is really disheartening. I doubt I’ll be back for a while. 2 for 1 Tuesdays was the saving grace for me.

Best Pizza and Salad In the World. My husband and I walked into Terra Cotta about 3 years ago, not knowing about it. Some people were walking out and told us that it was great. We go there every chance we get, crossing over from Detroit, and we compare every other pizza to Terra Cotta. When friends tell us about a great pizza, we try it and it may be OK, but it is never like Terra Cotta. And the salad we get is absolutely wonderful, also. We love the place and the staff is wonderful too……but the pizza is just too good for words…..everytime!
