Alone again in Windsor, so, where do I go? This place had promise on a Monday night. Felt like having fresh as opposed to red meat and fries. I was the only other person in the place at 6:30 pm. After all, this is Monday night. Might be typical. Ordered simple classics, salmon sushi tasted fresh and tender. Kamikaze roll and a spicy tuna roll along with an avocado roll. When I received my order, the spicy mayo sauce was (too) generously slathered over my kamikaze and spicy tuna roll and topped with lots of tempura. So much for staying away from fatty foods tonight. The rolls were a little too loosely put together and easily fell apart. Difficult in handling. For quick and cheap eats, I would perhaps come back and specify, hold the mayo. It was tasty enough. But there are many more places to try before actually coming back.
I’ve been to Hoi Sushi & Niko Sushi so far which is my favorite. A friend & I ordered the Kamikaze AAC Roll, Crispy & Crunch California & strawberry cakes with ice cream inside. We were offered green tea & miso soup as we waited for the food to come. The rolls were nicely presented & bold in flavor but I think I had a reaction to something because my tongue started to swell.
Love it! Use to only go to Nikos for sushi but this is just as good if not better! In love with the ocean roll and the tuna sashimi salad. Great atmosphere very comfortable and well priced for the quality and quantity of food you get:)
