This place seems to be quite popular, but after dining here twice, I say that I feel mixed about it. I can definitely see the appeal: unique hipster vibe, cool decor, and a changing chalkboard menu of daily specials in addition to their set menu. The menu item descriptions are mouth-watering. However, the food itself was not very consistent between my two visits. The first time I went (a year ago), I had the mac n’ cheese, which I thought was spectacular. The second time around, the mac n’ cheese was a bit lackluster and one-dimensional. Also, I think there was something seriously wrong with the chef’s tastebuds on my second visit, as everything was salty beyond belief – the meat, veggies, and fries were all so salty that none of the actual flavours could cut through. It was honestly a bit disappointing. I think I will have to give it another chance and visit for a third time to cement my opinion. Also, I’ve never visited for their brunch menu, and perhaps this is their gem and not dinner.

It was not busy, we went in between lunch and dinner, she didn’t pay attention to us. Didn’t refill our water, took her forever to realize we were done and should come get our plates. Took our plates but then took another 10-15 minutes before bringing the bill. Overall. Food was great but service was very poor.
