Food is good. Service is terrible. We had a reservation. After 45 mins the people waiting ahead of us left. There was an empty table and when I asked the hostess if we could be seated there she informed us that that table was not available. …… Not available to us.. she should have said. About 15 minutes later a group of 4 ( same as us) walked in and were immediately shown to the self same table. I informed the hostess that we would be not be dining there that evening or ever again. Lots of great places to eat in the neighborhood … A pox on Vito’s
Terrible Customer Service. I have never been to a restaurant where you make a reservation in advanced and they give you a capped time you can stay until. Today was a special occasion for my family, an anniversary, and once we arrived for our reservation – we were told we had to leave in 2 hours for the next reservation. We felt very rushed and uncomfortable. We could not enjoy ourselves. We were paying customers (like anyone else) and it was very rude and poor customer service. I have never experienced this at another restaurant and I have travelled around the world. I will definitely not be returning to this restaurant nor recommend it to anyone else in Windsor.
I’ve been to Vito’s a few times now, so I feel I can write a pretty concise review. The food is great – entrees are great portion sizes for the pricing. Quality Italian cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. The servers are always very friendly as well and willing to accommodate any food allergies or preferences. Overall, I’ve always had a good experience at Vito’s.
Killer Thin Crust Pie Made Right!. We went in not long before closing, but the friendly staff were more than happy to accommodate us. We just wanted a couple of drinks and something light. Started with a limoncello martini and ceasar. And despite what others have written here the ceasar was right on the money (made with olive juice) and a perfect medium/spicy heat as ordered. My wife said the martini was smooth and tasty. She had a salad which tasted like my nonna made it and for the pizza I had it was so right. I was trained by a pizza chef from Naples and I worked cooking thin crust pizza in a wood burning stone oven for two years. Definately this will be one of main go to restaurants, especially when entertaining out of town guests.
Mixed Feelings.. Only ever tried the nutella pizza which was good. Nice atmosphere. Too pricey.
Amazing food and staff. The owner has kept the restaurant and kitchen open late just to serve me and my date and i dont even know the guy. Just friendly, cool spot. Anything bad can be looked past by such an amazing team and quality meals
I went to Vitos for the first time a few months ago, and it was amazing. Appetizer (bruschetta) was fantastic, and I ordered the potato pizza, which was an 8/10. I decided to take my fiance there a few days ago, and we weren’t impressed. We ordered a bloody mary and a caesar, and asked for them to be extra spicy. They weren’t spicy at all, and Vitos uses franks red hot instead of tobasco (yuck). We ordered bruschetta for an appetizer, but when it came, we were disappointed. They had cheaped out on the quality of the bread and there wasn’t too much flavour. The pizzas we ordered weren’t good at all- even though we asked our waiter for a recommendation. I don’t think Vito deserves a third shot, sorry! I’d rather go to another pizzeria thats half the price and twice as good.
