I have been to this place only once during my stay in Canada. It is a nice casual dining place that serves cuisines from the Middle East. While the decor is okay and nothing mind blowing, I especially liked the staff who were quick with the service and quite polite. We had ordered a platter containing different types of kebabs and spiced rice. The staff willingly replaced the beef dishes with similar chicken dishes when we requested so. They also serve a less spicy version of biriyani. Cost was around 30$ for two persons without alcohol.
The food here is amazing! I’ve been here about 3 times now and I’ve never left disappointed. Everything here is cooked to perfection (except the rice – I’m not a fan of raisins in rice). The mixed grill platter starts you with a soup an lets you sample various meats, all of which are great, especially the beef kebabs. And the garlic sauce/toum is addicting (although bad breath-inducing).
Best restaurant in Windsor. I tried many other restaurants in Windsor, Middle Eastern ones and other ethnic restaurants, but we keep coming back to Windsor Palace for many reasons; 1- Food is delicious (ethnic Iraqi and Middle Eastern dishes)2- Good portions3- Very reasonably priced4- Clean5- Friendly serviceThey start you with soup which comes automatically with your order without paying extra for it. All dishes are delicious. No other restaurant beats this one. I wish they have similar restaurants in other cities.
