Amazing Gnocchi. Could be one of the best that I have had in my life. Good selection of wine and a very nice atmosphere. 5/5I also suggest trying the Pizza.
By far the best gnocchi I have ever had in my life! I am normally very critical of my dining experience but this restaurant surpassed all expectations! The service was just as incredible as the food!
Awful!!!. Dont waste ur $$$. Worst restaurant on Erie by far…figures it was empty. We went to Spagos and it was packed…jam packed down stars and upstairs. So we decided to go to La Zingara since there was room. Salad was too expensive, pizza was not good, grilled calamari was great, pasta carbonara was good…my friend had chicken…it was so so. There lattes were awful could not drink it. It was so over priced but the worst part was that it was a sat night and the staff stood there looking at us like when are you going to leave. They even started sweeping and mopping around us. I hate that just hate that….we would have had more drinks desert etc. Worst place ever…never going there again
Awful. Was very disrespected by the owner Pia. A few people went out to smoke on the patio to celebrate and she came out and said that we had no class to be out there smoking. There were two other groups of people smoking outside too. We said that’s rude to say that and she said ‘how would any of you know you have probably never been to a real restaurant like this before’. Calling the people who pay for your bills low class? Sad. Stay away from this place. We called and told the other male owner who said she was having a bad day and that was the reason for her behaviour and its his fault because he never put a no smoking sign. It is totally unacceptable reason for how we were treated. The food was decent but its hard to judge after being treated like trash.
Love the patio doors being open during nice weather!!! The owners/management are very kind & caring in regards to making sure you enjoy your dining experience. Delicious Italian dishes, as well!
Great food. Great atmosphere. My entire family has been making the river crossing to Windsor to enjoy a great meal at La Zingara for probably 10 or more years. We began going when they were in their original location just up the street. Always thought we’d miss the cozy, warm surroundings but have gotten over our nostalgia. The new (now maybe 7 years old) location is just great. Very tastefully done, most of the furnishings, tables, chairs, glassware, place settings, etc. are direct from Italy. The food is wonderful. We all have our favorites. A few to try would be the Pasta Fasiouli Soup. (It got left off the menu somehow but they always have it just ask). It’s the best any of us have ever had. We enjoy the pasta’s but strangely enough the quail is more often asked for. It’s simple and delicious. Usually accompanied by roast potatoes and broccoli which are both outstanding. I don’t know what they do to their roasted potatoes but they are alway divine. The veal dishes are excellent. Fish is very good as well. The pizzas are without question the best you will find on either side of the border. That is if you like a thin crust, wood fired authentic Italian pizza. If you don’t see a standard offering you like just have them make up one to your specifications. We like to get the Quattro Stagione but then substitute prosciutto for the ham. Sometimes ask for anchovies in place of the olives which are the black halved ones out of the can. Homemade Tiramisu is great. The chocolate Tartufo is yummy. Normally skip dessert and just grab a limoncello or amaro. Espresso is super strong. They don’t kid around. The entire staff is friendly, professional and relaxed. No airs put on here. No corporate trained wait staff with their canned routine. This is as close as one can get to dining in Italy. I know, we’ve traveled to the mother land many times. La Zingara is the first place we head to when we are going through our Italia withdrawals.
