Excellent food. Excellent service. A salute to the times when restaurants still cared about customer service and delicious food. As a first timer, I had the Brisket sandwich with Mac and Cheese. Great sandwich and some of the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had.
Never had an issue with customer service. The opposite in fact. Everyone always seems cheery and the timing of dishes was on point. You can always leave your cell number behind and they’ll call when your table is ready as you go for a walk or drive around the area. Those people that said they let people go ahead of them. You’re wrong. They just checked in well before you and came through the door when they’ve been called. There are certain items that are average and others worth trying out. I know I’ve ordered the brisket before and wasn’t amazed but the second time around I ordered the drumsticks and they were incredible. Do it with the Silk Road BBQ sauce and you won’t be disappointed. We all have different palates though but that’s one meal they serve up perfectly and I’ll be coming back for more.
Poor customer service. Made us wait for almost an hour. Let 2 and 3 groups of people first who came after us. They should at least come and talk to us and let us know how long is the wait and when will get seated. They did not make us feel welcome at all.
We discovered this place on a sunny Saturday afternoon drive. We were a bit hesitant from the outside but glad we went in. Service was excellent, place was hopping and food was great. We split a decadent milkshake and shared our meals. Prices are moderate-high as per other posts: $20.00 for 3 drumsticks, coleslaw and two sides (fries and collard greens with bacon). 15.00 for 3 sliders: brisket pulled pork and beef . I like to think I’m paying for quality food. Not for the faint of heart…bring your appetite. So much food..we brought home extra to share.Nice old school vibe with Elvis playing in the background and kitschy decor. We will be back….after my angioplasty!
It’s been several years since I have been here. The food was always excellent. However, recently, I was told their prices have jumped substantially. My nephew liked to go there for lunch at least once every 4-6 weeks. He’s looking elsewhere, as it’s just too expensive. Interestingly, the place hasn’t looked quite as busy, so maybe others are saying the same thing….Since links cannot be posted here, look them up, and take a peek at their menus. According to the meus, the chances of getting out of there under $25 is actually closer to $30-35.Since the system will also not allow a posting without a rating, I am using 3.0. Although that’s not fair, my data is too old.
An absolutely great BBQ restaurant. Do not hesitate to visit this place. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and coleslaw, my friends shared the plate of sliders (beef and pork), all were great and you will not walk away hungry. The only problem will be to get a seat during the busiest times of day. Worth a drive out of the city to try it.
I can’t say that the food is bad…however the service is something to be desired. My family and I went on a Friday night just before they get busy. We were seated and waiting for a server to come and wait on us, we sat for 5 mins with no one coming over. A party of 4 was seated at a table in front of us and was served in less than one minute drink and food order. We expected the waiter to turn to us and apologize however that didn’t happen. We walked out… told the owner/hostess why we were leaving and she didn’t seem to care. My next stop was Southern Smoke BBQ House were the food & SERVICE are exceptional!!!
