The only negative thing I have to say about Al Fogolar is that the Musset is a big disappointment. I think this is because they remove the casing when they boil it and hence all the flavor is lost because it tasted really bland. Thank goodness for the Brovada on the side that helped make up for the lack of flavor. On the other hand all the other dishes have been really good. The grilled lamb is excellent!
You won’t leave hungry. It’s a home cooked meal away from home. If you’ve never been, go on a Wednesday night – it’s Family Night. They offer a 4 course Prix Fixe menu with a few options for $25 ($15 for kids), and the food is outstanding. Family Night is a great intro to this place. If you like it, come back on the weekend and explore the regular menu. Regular menu is not cheap, but the food quality is excellent.
