2017/03/26We stopped in at Baton Rouge for dinner after being out for the afternoon. The restaurant was more than half full, but we did not have any problem getting a cozy booth for two. In general the restaurant is nicely decorated, with lots of wood and leather. However, there are couple of places where I noticed some wood trim missing. Also, SWMBO and I both noted that the menus looked really worn around the edges.SWMBO selected the BBQ Pork Back Ribs (10 oz). If good ribs are supposed to fall off the bone, these were good ribs. She tried picking up a couple of bones, and the meat fell right off. Another piece of good news: They tasted good too.I chose the Classic Top Sirloin, and asked for a medium cook. That’s what I got. It was tender, tasty, juicy. One of my sides was their Sweet Potato Fries. They were also done well, with a bit of a crispy outside, which many other places have difficulty achieving with sweet potatoes.Service was pretty good for most of the meal. The staff appeared to be fast and efficient. However, at the end of the meal it took a while for us to get our server’s attention, so that we could get our bill and pay.On the whole, it was a good meal.
Baton Rouge puts The Keg to shame! The prime rib is amazing. Fresh, juicy, and so tasty. The steak is also very, very good. The ribs, however, are an absolute stand out.
Service here was so bad. Waitress must be a complete moron, because I asked for the lunch special burger and she didn’t know what I was talking about and was giving me attitude about it. Also, when our waters were brought out the napkins were all crinkled up. Like seriously? The gentleman who brought out our food was exceptionally polite and professional. Also, the hostess was not friendly either. I don’t know how this place make money. I am never going back there. There are so many other locations where the experience is umpteen times better.

Always a good choice. Can’t go wrong. besides waiting other then that its totally worth it just call and make a reservation. Try the Baton Rouge Club. My favourite
Food great, service terrible. For a group of 10, I’ve never seen such terrible service at a restaurant in my life. – 45 minutes after reservation to get seated- Drinks came 30 minutes after ordering- Taking orders took another 30 minutes after that- One friend asked for a refill to his drink 4 times and never received it- One friend asked for the bill early because they had to leave but received it with everyone else and not combined as asked- Bills messed up at the end, as many people’s orders were screwed upNever coming back to this Baton Rouge again ever.
