Ristorante Lantipasto is an Italian restaurant that serves traditional Italian recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. They keep it simple by having a classic Italian country side inspired menu. In addition to their trademark Antipasto dishes, they serve a wide variety of pasta dishes from seafood pastas, to some classic dishes like gnocchi pomodoro and bucatini alla matriciana. They have a few risotto dishes as well. For entrees they have both meat and fish entrees.They serve up some of the most unique dishes in town, including orata or spigola(Mediterranean sea bream and sea bass respectively) and filleto di manzo (beef fillet). Both are served alla brace, which is cooked on charcoal to give it a distinct flavour. To accompany these culinary delights, they have an extensive wine list that will appease all pallets and has some high end options as well. Lantipaso is also open for private parties on Sundays and can accommodate up to 65 people. So come on and try a taste of the Italian country side right here in Vaughan! allaboutvaughan.com

One Of the Best Restaurants In Vaughn. I do not think that all the bad comments written are approproate. This restaurant will go from Corperate funcions to private parties. It is a great restaurant to visit, I have been there many times and am also very good friends with the owner. My children love to go to this restaurant because they are always able to play with the owners children which keeps them very intertained. I have also had 5 or more parties at this restaurant and was very pleased every time. There is great service, and wonderful food. I highly reccomend people to go to this restaurant!
Horrible service. We went there for a function on the 21 of May 2011. I found that the service was horrible and the portions were not plenty. First of all we were there waiting for at least 1 hour before the meal was served. They could have brought out the bread at least and served it with butter or something like olive oil to dunk the bread. Any Restaurant at that point would have served something while the party is waiting. It looked really cheap and stingy on his behalf. I guess he does not know how to advertise his business.He only had two waiters for the whole function and once they opened to the public we were basically not accounted for any longer. Due to the fact that the poor waiters could not keep up to serve us and the public. The courses took forever to be served and by the time the food came we were all still hungry because there was not plenty of food to serve a table of eight and seconds were not offered. The function was open bar. I found it surprising that the only beer he had was Moosehead and they did not have any other kind. They did not serve us cognac but brandy. I had asked for a digestive drink after dinner and they did not bring it because he decided to cut the whole party off. I find it very unproffesional on his part. No one was drunk or distruptive.When we were served the cake I had not dessert fork, I had asked our waiter for one and he told me to use the one that was in the middle of the table when he had them in his hands.I don’t think I would ever go back to have any function or even dinner there.
Claudia. We attend a private function at this restaurant. Very unprofessional when the owner has his children for the weekend and has then at the restaurant interfering with our function….Service was horrible took 4hrs to serve dinner and service went downhill when there regular customers started arriving. Not enough waiters, when asked waiter for a beer he actually told me to go get it myself. I would rate food 4/10 and serving amounts were very little. I would not recommend this restaruant for private functions or for dinners. So many better reataurants in the Vaughn area that have much better food and service!!!!
