Been here over 50 times over the years and have never had a bad experience. Everything is great. Top choice in Woodbridge for a guaranteed good meal. Very well trained waiters, never had an issue. One of few places that makes rabbit. Lamb stew is always amazing. You can substitute, mix and match whatever you want without question or complaint, unlike a lot of other places. Trattoria atmosphere, so great if dressed up or down, but most people dress a bit nicer here. Use good beans for espresso, don’t even need sugar. If I had to pick a negative, only thing I could think of would be better desserts, otherwise amazing restaurant and in my top 3 favourite places to eat.
I ate at Mastroroberto for a family function and the experience was great. We started with a sharing plate of antipasto. The presentation was lovely and offerings sumptuous. The second course was penne in red sauce which was great and mushroom risotto which truthfully could have used some kick, but I’ve had worse. The last course was chicken and lamb that were both juicy and tender. They were accompanied by rapini and potatoes that were good though the potatoes could have been crispier. Overall I was impressed with the service and highly recommend the food. I do wish the air conditioning would have been on and working. It was sweltering inside b
I would like to share my recent experience at MastroRoberto Trattoria restaurant . The place looks very good inside,and the food was delicious. However, we had a waiter, who may have thought that he was being friendly, but to be honest it seemed disrespectful in a way. First of all,he kept on touching us (girls) , tap on a shoulder, a hand or the back. It is ,in my opinion , and invasion of personal space and a harassment in a way. This is the first time ever that i saw a restaurant staff member conducting a physical contact with guests. We were having a conversation with my friends in our native language, and for some reason the waiter kept on interrupting us with his comments,which were not related to the menu nor restaurant. We were having wine, and ordered a Cosmopolitan cocktail for one of us, but he kept saying that we need vodka. He also talked about his private business when we wanted to order. Thanks to one of our friends, we went ahead and ordered anyway… He also brought out the olive paste and the hot peppers but not the bread. We had to ask for it after a long wait. Another thing is that he didn’t bother telling us about the specials. We asked about it just after we ordered, as he was taking the menus away. In the end we wanted to break a bill,and that seemed to be a problem for the waiter,for whatever reason.When we were leaving, he didn’t even turn his head to say goodbye. Overall not a good vibe from that guy.
