This was the absolute worst meal and service ever. Waited almost two hours for our meal and when it finally arrived, it was cold and one dish (salmon) was raw in the centre. The server had absolutely no manners or any customer service skills. Do yourself a favour don’t waste your time or money.
The decor is nice. The staff is friendly. The food is very good. But in my opinion the prices are just too high for what you get. I ordered a veal chop which was very good but forgettable.
We enjoyed dinner at Sapore. The appetizer was delicious: grilled calamari. My hubby had the lobster pasta and I had the grilled seafood plate. Both were very tasty and generous in terms of portion size. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the scallop. It had a metallic aftertaste which made me think it was not fresh. The chocolate lava cake is very good as well. Overall, a very nice place.
What s wrong with this place?. I ordered some fancy named pasta with chicken and tomatoes. Ended up getting cooked pasta swimming in balsamic oil with 4 little strips of chicken. The strip was the size of a match. There barely any tomatoes just some sun dried tomatoes on the bottom. Very disappointing. The wine was pretty good tho. Another thing while the waiter was pouring the wine (i think it was the owner), he knocked me in the shoulder with his elbow. Ignored it and walked away. The appetizer was pretty good tho, I really liked their grilled egg plant.
GREAT FOOD/SERVICE. I went there Saturday Feb.13th with my wife, incredible experience, and I need to say this, the service was extrimely amazing, Mimmo raccomandation on the Steak was absolutely amazing, so tender and so juicy, Definatelly going back again.
Horrible Service! Don’t waste your time!. Visited this restaurant last weekend with my husband and three children. Wish I had read the reviews ahead of time. Upon reviewing the menu, I had a difficult time choosing a dinner entree as there was really nothing different than your typical Italian entree. Salmon was dry and their tomato sauce was disappointing. My son wanted pizza, but the waiter informed us that there was no pizza. Certain drinks were not available. One of the servers barely spoke English. Small dinner portions. On top of it all, they added the tip to my bill. Very disappointed! Definitely will not recommend this place to anyone.
These people should be ashamed of how they treat their costumers but on top of that their own employees! We have been going there for years and it happened that it always falls on a Saturday. Saturdays at sapore are ceotic, for better or worse, its part of their charm..I am a former server myself and so is my husband and we are totally sympathetic to our fellow brothers/sisters. Throughout the years of us going there we have gotten to know the servers and both parties started opening up to one another..and boy oh boy the stories that we’ve heard about the owners!!! Here are a few of them:1. Owners ( steve and mani) charge the servers 6% of their sales on friday and Saturday night. Which means if ur an average tipper that leaves 15% at the end of the night, the server will pocket 9% and the restaurant WILL POCKET 6% !!! Unheard of especially since they offer them no help and all the busboys speak italian and they are very difficult to understand. They also get paid only $10 cash! Nothing else!poor busboys..go somewhere else where u can at least get more!Owners pocket the 6% for themselves!!!!!!WELCOME TO SLAVERY!2. Owners are rude, condescending and obnoxious. They never come to the table when there’s a problem and always send someone by the name of mauricio who has to pretend he is a manager while the boss is sitting by the bar doing nothing. Literally nothing. Oh yeah, I apologize, he was eating HIS dinner because his was more important than ours. MANI is the guy’s name. Customers be ware!3. We also found out through the server that served us 3 weeks ago that things are so bad there the owners actually put items on your bill ( when u do a big party) that u have not consumed as a costumer!!! Extra booze, extra shots, and so on! Now the bill is bigger and there is no way as the host of the party that u will remember who had what. Disgraceful, stomach turning, infuriating situation. DONT GO! DONT GO! DONT GO! PEOPLE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! WE LIKED IT UNTIL WE HEARD ‘ BEHIND THE SCENE’ STORIES..STAND UP AND SHY YOUR FEET AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE! NEVER AGAIN!
