  I heard great things about Spinello and was excited when I heard my work was having a celebration there. First course was penne with sauce. The portions were very small compared to other restaurants in the area (should have gone there instead). A few co-workers have a glutten allergy and were served spelt pasta. The pasta, which was unrecognizable as to what type of pasta it was, looked like someone had chewed it out and spit it out. The chef (and I use the term loosely) came around and he said it pained him to serve the pasta like that, but obviously not enough if he served it anyway. When the main course came out, stuffed capon, the presentation looked good. However one bite and it was the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted. They tried telling us that it was the rosemary that was giving the foul odour and rancid taste but I suspect it was something else. The service overall was below standard, and the chef was rude. I would not recommend this restaurant to any one. There are far better restaurants in Woodbridge.

  WORSE experience. The owner frank completely destroyed my birthday dinner and upset my complete wedding party. we spoke a week prior about a party of 24, said he was fine with that and okay with the two people with food allergies. he said he was happy to have us and that he would make sure he would make my night special. he sure managed to pull that off! we drove an hour to come to his restaurant. he forced us all to order the same meal, saying he cant handle a party this large, then proceeded to roll his eyes, and scream at me, when one of my guests requested his steak done medium rare, saying everyone can have medium or we wont have anything at all. he then swore at me and told us to get out of his restaurant, and embarrassed me in front of the whole restaurant. he then told me mcdonalds is down the road, and forced us to leave.I don’t know why this man was so angry. we are all in our late 20s and 30s and we were all well behaved. we did nothing to deserve that treatment. it was very sad watching how intimidated the rest of his staff is of him. he shouldn’t deal with the public and completely wasted my time and ruined my night. worst experience ever.

  Everyone on here giving positive reviews either works for him or is related to him. TRUST ME. Don’t even bother.02 Mar, 2014Let’s put it straight. If you expect good service, DO NOT even bother. We travel around three world specifically for food experiences. Coming here was the absolute worst mistake. Our entire party walked out within 15 minutes because of the unprofessional and absurd service. And to make matters worse, he was the owner. Do not waste your time. If you decide to, good luck.

  I really enjoyed my dinner of provimi liver. The portion was generous, the liver was fork tender and very tasty. It came with an assortment of beautifully seasoned vegetables cooked to perfection. The service was very attentive.
