We went for lunch at stone crock restaurant on thanksgiving day. We had their lunch buffet and within 20 minutes both me and my husband suffered from stomach cramps, heart burn. We got severe food poisoning it was a bad way to end our long weekend. We will never eat here again. Hope rest of the guest did not suffer like us.

After a bit of walking and shopping in St Jacobs, it was time for lunch on Wednesday. It was a hot day, so we wanted something indoors with air conditioning, which limited our choices. So in we went to Stone Crock. We had a quick look at their lunch buffet ($15.79; a few meat choices, a few vegetable choices, a few salad choices), but decided to order from their regular menu instead. I had the Reuben Sandwich with Wedge Fries; thinly sliced, tender smoked meat, Swiss cheese, and plenty of sauerkraut. The fries were not your typical wedges; they had a different ridge and twist to them. They had a nice crispness on the outside, and were soft on the inside. SWMBO had the Farmers Sausage, with caramelized onions and cheddar. Although the sausage was cooked, it did have a pink-ish tinge in the middle, which she found a little off-putting.

Nice food, we ordered the $14 buffet and there was a very decent spread. Multiple options to choose from in VEG and non veg. Service was OK, it seems to be a popular place around for the locals and tourists as it got pretty crowded in no time.
