  I have been waiting to visit V’s for the longest time and finally I made it today. A hidden gem for sure and from the time I walked in there was good vibes all round. My friend and I ordered the pong special which was a little taste of everything. The portions are generous and well presented and to top it off some sliced Avocado a staple for any true West Indian, My friend who is not vegetarian was in heaven. Everything was absolutely delicious and filling. If I was not living so far away, I would be visiting every Friday. When we were leaving, the chef was making some homemade donuts and offered us one each. All that is missing is some Rum to go with the ginger beer, Great food, great service, friendly staff and a must visit if you in the area.

  I was in the area so I decided to pay this place a visit. It’s a vegan Caribbean restaurant. I recommend the chef special which is a bit of everything with a side of red beans & rice or quinoa. Good portions. Service is very friendly. Overall really delicious Caribbean food and worth checking out if you are in the area.

  I came here and as per last review decided to go with the pongs special. It was 15.00 but completely worth it! It came with veggie curry I believe ( I think seasoned tofu ) and like I forget the rest but another faux meat, plantain, brown rice, sweet potato mashed, calaloo, grilled onion/veggie etc etc. Tbh the faux meat was so good I almost thought it was real omg! And it tasted absolutely amazing. Wow. If I could make it at home the same way I would and eat it often at that! The sweet potato mash was delectable and their basmati rice was off the chain- and I usually hate basmati rice! But this one was good. There were also chickpeas that weren’t really my thing and this big yam thing I didn’t really like because of the harder texture. The calaloo was ok and the plantains were so sweet and nice. I may not have covered everything but I appreciated the fresh sliced avacado on top. This was worth the 15.00. Good as a starter to try it all! The service was absolutely fantastic. The guy let me sample both soups (one was porridge which was alright the other was some kind of veggie soup. Which was great) and he let me try the dessert style plantain puff or whatever it was- it was so friggen good omg. Everything was awesome. I really appreciate this spot. I can’t stand when I go to some Caribbean spots and I ask for what they have that’s vegetarian and they say fish. Lmao animals are still animals and these people here get the point. It’s strictly meat free and yes that includes salt fish ahha. This a true vegetarian and vegan spot they even have the animal cruelty pariphanillia to raise awareness. You don’t have to worry about accidental meat consumption here! And they don’t sell those fake veggie patties either. The chef himself fills ur plate which is nice his name is pong hence the name of his special. He’s a great cook! This place is a must for vegetarian Jamaican food lovers! Super good and healthy all home cooked style 🙂
